Home Art, the permanent exhibition room, has a terrace with an ocean view overlooking the Pacific Ocean, where visitors can relax on sofas. Since ancient times, Okinawan faith has been rooted in the belief that there is a paradise beyond the Pacific Ocean called Nirai Kanai. Nanjo City, where the Nanjo Art Museum is located, is also home to the World Heritage Site Sefa-utaki, the most sacred site of the Ryukyu Kingdom, and the island of Kudaka, which is worshipped as the island of the gods, and is considered to be the sacred place of "Agataida", where the sun rises (is born). The dynamic view from the terrace overlooking the sacred ocean soothes the hearts of visitors and brings them blissful peace of mind. The beautiful sunrises and sunsets, the full moon and starry sky, and the ever-changing scenery are the very essence of celestial art woven by nature. Sometimes, concerts and other events are also organised on the ocean view terrace.
